Some ladies feel that fear or anxiety show up before they even touch the saddle, while others feel like this while they ride.
Symptoms like:
Your heart races.
Your chest tightens.
Your body tenses… or completely shuts down.
And it can feel confusing — even shameful — especially when that inner voice says,
“You should be over this by now.”
But here’s what I’ve learned — through my own experience and from working with hundreds of horsewomen across Australia:
These responses aren’t signs of weakness.
They’re not flaws to fix.
They’re messages from your nervous system — parts of you that are still carrying something heavy, something unprocessed, something that deserves care.
💻 Our sessions are held via Zoom or another secure video platform, from anywhere in Australia (I’m located in Melbourne).
⏳ A session runs around 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your needs that day.
One of the most important things we do in our work together is this:
We don’t jump straight into talking about your fears or past experiences.
Before anything else, we focus on helping your body feel safe.
We build that safety from the inside out — through gentle body-based techniques that help regulate your nervous system and create a calm, grounded foundation.
This becomes one of your most powerful tools — because when your body learns what true safety feels like, you can begin to explore triggers without becoming overwhelmed.
Instead of bracing or shutting down, your system stays present.
This is how healing becomes possible — not through force, but through felt safety.
In this space, you’ll learn to:
✨ Gently notice and respond to what’s happening in your body
✨ Release tension and anxiety without pushing
✨ Understand where your fear lives and what it’s trying to protect
✨ Reconnect with a sense of calm confidence — with yourself and your horse
Confidence doesn’t come from pretending to be brave.
It grows when we learn to stay with ourselves — especially in the moments we feel most unsure.
And the more we practice being with what is, instead of fighting or avoiding it, the more we notice subtle shifts:
*Our nervous system softens.
*The tightness begins to ease.
*The fear starts to move — and release.
And little by little… we come home to ourselves again.
This work isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about walking with you, as you remember your strength — not in spite of your fear, but alongside it.
So if you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected, or afraid to ride — and you’re ready to try something different…
This might be the space you’ve been longing for.
🤎 You’re not broken. You’re becoming whole.
And I’d be honoured to support you.
